Surveillance system ADS-B
1090 ES
Automatic Dependant Surveillance is a way of aircraft monitoring, when aircraft automatically provides any user with information on its own coordinates, movement parameters and intentions (next way point and set altitude) via data transmission lines.
ADS-B is one of the components of CNS/АТМ ICAO development concept and combines three functions of this concept: communication, navigation and surveillance.
Since 2020 all airborne vehicles (except for state air forces) functioning in A class airspace (8100 m and above) in Russian Federation must be equipped with 1090ES transmitter for ADS-B Out.
VNIIRA-Navigator experts developed three types of equipment:
- SO-2010 panel-controlled targeted responder providing transponder functions in A/C/S modes and ADS-B Out functions;
- MSNVO-2010 small-sized air activity surveillance equipment combining ADS-B In and TIS-B 1090E functions and ADS-R functions(A2 class);
- ISK onboard small-sized transmitting system providing ADS-B Out functions.
